Job Description:

Expressions of interest are sought for Study in Australia in early 2011 under the Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) Open Equity Category. Study is largest for postgraduate level but undergraduate and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) study will be considered of the applicant has an exceptional academic record or if the course is not available in the

region. The primary objective of the ADS program is to contribute to the development of Vanuatu's human resources. Whilst encouraging equity, selection will be based on academic merit in priority areas as identified by the Government of Vanuatu.

Applications are sought from people wishing to undertake study in the following areas:

1) Public Health Management

2) Disability Studies

3) Policing / Law Enforcement

4) Public Sector / Financial Management / Economics

5) Engineering (Civil, Transport/ Infrastructure, Aviation, Port & Marines, Town Planning

6) Agriculture / Veterinary (including bio-security)



Interested applicant must meet all of the requirements:

Criteria:

- Applicants must be Ni-Vanuatu citizens; Must be resident in Vanuatu for two years prior to commencement of award; Must have completed a first degree or equivalent studies or completed university

entrance (year 13, NZ bursary, USP fountation studies)

- Must have high english language proficiency (minimum of 6.0 IELTS or equivalent); Will be required to meet the entrance criteria of the relevant Australian tertiary institution or TAFE.
