Vanuatu Cricket Association (VCA) is the governing body of cricket body of cricket in Vanuatu. As part of their cricket development the VCA are piloting a community development program based around island cricket that targets 20-30 women aged 25-50. The objectives of the program include education in health and nutrition, exercise and maternal

health. We are looking for someone to work 2.5 days per week to be the point of contact for the coordination of this program on a week to week basis. Experience working in sports or health is not a requirement, however an interest in community programs is desired. The Vanuatu Cricket office is open from 8am until 5pm. The hours for this role may be

flexible however it expected that the successful applicant will work 2.5 days per week. The minimum conditions of the Vanuatu Employment Act shall apply with respect to leave entitlements and other conditions.

Duties and responsibilities:

1) Oversee the organisation of a 15 week program in a targeted village based community close to Port Vila

2) The key component of the role will be to regularly communicate with partners of the program such as Department of Women's Affairs, Department of Health, WHO and Wan Smol Bag

3) Oversee the day to day operations of the Vanuatu Cricket Island Cricket Program

4) Liaising with all partners and stakeholders to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities

5) Assisting in the delivery and reporting of the program

6) Weekly visits to the target community with Vanuatu Cricket Development Officers and partners to ensure successful delivery of the program.

Criteria:

- Excellent communication skills; Confident dealing with people face to face and over the phone; Good computer skills including email; Well organized; Reliable; Knowledge in community based

- Basic knowledge of monitoring and evaluation of programs.

Salary:

Salary is negotiable and subject to qualifications and experience.
