Job Description:

Peace Corps Vanuatu wishes to recruit four Ni - Vanuatu persons for the short-term position of Language, Culture, and Technical Trainers (LCTTS). The LCTTs will provide Bislama language training to the new Peace Corps Volunteers while facilitating their understanding of Vanuatu's culture. The LCTTs will also assist with the facilitation of basic technical skill competnecies, speific to the

volunteer assignment. Therefore, experience in the education, helth and businesss development sector is advantageous.



Selected candidates will be required to live in a village with a host family for most of the contrat period. Peace Corps is looking for candidates with the following skills sets and experience:

Criteria:

-Successful completition of Year 12, Year 13 is preferable

-Experience as a trainer, preferable in language and culture

- Basi computer literacy (MS Word and Excel)

-High level fluency in English and Bislama

-An understanding and appreciation of Vanuatu culture and living life in a rural location.

-A basic working knowledge of development in one or more of the following sectors, education, rural development, health and business development.

-A positive Attitude and an enthusiatic outlook on life.
