Job Description:

        Criteria:
        We are looking for a WASH Coordinator to join our team based in Tanna, Tafea Province with travel to Tafea Outer Islands.
        The WASH Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of all WASH activities in his/her designated geographic area. The successful candidates would have experience managing WASH programs in Vanuatu and would have the skills to ensure that women and girls, young people, older people, and people with disabilities participate in and are involved in decision making around WASH issues. The role involves managing a large WASH team and coordination with government, community, and other WASH organizations in Tafea Province. 

        Required qualification and skills
        • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field (engineering, natural resource management, etc.) Master’s degree is preferable
        • Minimum of five years of relevant technical and project management experience
        • Experience implementing WASH projects and activities, including water supply system construction and rehabilitation (rainwater harvesting, gravity-fed systems, sanitation infrastructure, and hygiene promotion including PHAST)
        • Experience managing a team; experience with remote management preferred
        • Experience with reporting, planning, and financial management
        • Strong communication skills, including representation, negotiation and demonstrated interpersonal skills
        • Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to the particular needs of women and other marginalized people in WASH
        • Demonstrated ability to work to direction and part of a team
        • Ability to work well under pressure and in response to changing needs
        • Written and oral fluency in English and Bislama required; Tanna local languages preferred
        • Ability to work independently and efficiently
        • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
        • Willingness to be based in Tanna and travel to outer islands.
