The Council wishes to recruit a suitable individual for the position of Ward Secretary, Anamburu/Melcoffee Ward.

Be a year 13 or year 14 and/or Certificate or Diploma in Community development or equivalent
Be experienced in the field of Community development for over 2 years
Be knowledgeable about PVMC role and regulations
Be knowledgeable of community and custom service
Be knowlegeable of project management and event experience, including budget management and the management of casual staff and volunteers
Be able to organize or have some experience in undertaking survey, research, investigations, analysis and assessment
Be an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Be an individual with excellent communication skills in Bislama, French and English
Be an individual with a high level computer literacy
Be able to work flexible hours, dependent on work requirements
Be an individual with a good understanding and experience in the implementation of Equal Employment Opportunity and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and principles
Be a analytical and practical thinker with outstanding listening, communication and report writing skills
Be able to work as a team and also possess outstanding leadership qualities
Be able to work under pressure and also work unsupervised
Be an individual that respects his or her superior and also commitment to the Council.
