The Finance Manager is responsible for the management of all in country financial and administrative systems, financial reporting and line management of the finance team. He/She will assist external financial relationships (including donors and Live & Learn partners) and participate in the management of quality and risk. A core responsibility is the capacity building of staff to familiarise them with the policies and procedures of the organisation.
Key Areas of Accountability:
Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded efficiently and accurately and ensure they are in line with Live & Learn Financial Manual, GPM donors' requirements and reporting deadlines
Prepare and review budget estimates for projects, and prepare the operating budget for the office. Prepare cash flow forecast in both project and operating levels
Provide financial management advice on revisions and budgets, preparing periodical forecasts and changes needed
Monitor petty cash and bank accounts balance and ensure sufficient funds are always available depending on the programme needs
Monthly financial reporting to head office and donors
Ensure project advances are settled and reconciled regularly
Manage fixed asset register in line with donor requirements and the LLEE Finance Manual
Annual and project audits
Regular reporting to management, head office, board members
Liaise with internal and external parties
Any other duties assigned by management team or Board.
