We are looking for a Gender Based Violence [GBV] Coordinator to join our
team based in Port Vila. This position requires travel to other sites and may line manage
short term contractors, project staff, secondee’s from local partners and
Your major responsibilities will be varied and will include:
Implementation of GBV project activities as part of
CARE Vanuatu’s Gender Program
With technical support, finalise and pilot CARE’s
flagship Healthy Relationships (formally Life Skills) Program
Implementation of the Healthy Relationships package, together with
program partners and monitor and document evidence of its impact.

Required qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Development Social studies, Gender, Gender
Based Violence, Health project or equivalent projects and/or minimum 4-5 years relevant work
experience, preferably in community based development work and/or activity
implementation with an International Non-Government Organisation (INGO)
experience in the development and implementation of training packages
communication, facilitation, training skills in Bislama and very good in
English, French would be an asset
to coordinate this technical function(s) and implement procedures and
processes, with minimal supervision
high level organisational and time management skills, including the ability to
plan and manage workflows and balance competing priorities to ensure timely
processing to meet deadlines in a complex environment
develop high quality, concise reports and submission with accuracy
strong leadership, decision making, problem solving, planning, analytical and
experience in effectively leading, people management and motivating a team
honesty, maintaining confidentiality, reliable and trustworthy
skills including developing networks and relationships with key stakeholders
ability to work safely and effectively with communities and vulnerable groups
including at risk youth and children
Proven ability in managing a budget and/or
conversant in Microsoft Office with knowledge in Microsoft Word, Power Point
