Job Description:
The Vanuatu skills partnership skills for Handicraft program with Malampa Skills Center have a three-year business sustainability project for the Malampa Handicraft Center (MHC), commencing in October 2017. This project includes a funded position for a MHC Manager based in Lakatoro, Malekula.

The MHC offers a range and diverse unique locally hand made products for both local, domestic and international customers. MHC plays a vital role in the supply chain by linking the rural producers with vendors base in islands more populated by tourists. MHC provides a wide range of handicrafts, and also coaches on and controls quality standards, product development, and pricing. The aim of the MHC is to unite woman, men and children, including people with disability from Malampa Province.

Applications are now sought for the position of Malampa Handicraft Centre Manager, the position is based in Lakatoro, Malekula.

Criteria:
Applicants must have:
  • Business management experience in handicraft or related industry
  • Marketing and business-to-business sales skills
  • Financial management and reporting skills
  • Highly competent in use of MS Word, Excel, email correspondence and use of computer.
