Organisation Description
The New Zealand Aid Programme & Government of Vanuatu Support to the Vanuatu Beef Cattle Industry.

Nambawan Buluk Project: 

Building upon the foundation work undertaken during 2016/17, the New Zealand Government in collaboration with the Government of Vanuatu is initiating a range of supports to the Vanuatu Beef Cattle Industry. The Beef Cattle industry has met challenges in recent years and the MALFFB and MTTC&I with support from the New Zealand Government is now working to rebuild the industry prosperity and realise its potential contribution to the greater economic and social well-being of Vanuatu.
A Project office is now being established in Luganville on Santo for the purpose of managing the proposed supporting activities. To drive the Project’s activities, needed is a Project Co-ordinator.

Job Description
Tasks:
o Based on the Communications Work Plan and in collaboration with the Project Director and Project Manager, undertake the scheduled communications (via radio, press releases, farmer meetings) to communicate the aims & progress of the ‘Nambawan Buluk’ Project to farmers and other key partners;
o Provide a professional interface between the Project and its partners;
o Assist Technical advisors in the implementation of their Terms of Reference on arrival in-country through co-ordination with key partners;
o Prepare specified information for the Project Director & Project Manager on the Project’s planned activities and co-ordination of their implementation for optimal results;
o Assist the Project Manager in the financial management of the Project in-country.
Selection Criteria
Person requirements (must have):
o A Communications or Finance/Accounting Degree or at least equivalent years of experience in rolling out a Communications plan and/or administering a financial management system ideally in a project setting.
o Managed the co-ordination of various activities in a Project environment.
o Undertaken a range of communication-related activities (e.g. press releases, mail outs etc.)
o Written and spoken fluency in Bislama and English.
o Computer skills in MS Office
Salary
To be negotiated depending on skills and experience.
