The Anglican Church of Melanesia Provincial Office in Luganville, Santo seeks applicants for the position of Education Secretary. This position heads the education department of the ACOM Vanuatu Provincial Office and such is charges with advising on and ensuring the policies and programs of the Anglican Church of Melanesia in relation to

education is carried out and with the desired impact achieved. The position’s work program is determined by the ACOM Vanuatu education board proper functioning of the position required also close working relationships and communications with ACOM education institutions other stakeholders especially the Vanuatu Government and other

development partners, on policy and program matters. Duties and responsibilities:

1) Secretary to ACOM Vanuatu Education board and to fulfill the functions relating to the board as required in title E Canon 16

2) Arrange and prepare papers to ACOM (Vanuatu) education board and its executive committee

3) Take the lead in the planning and overseeing the implementation of ACOM (Vanuatu) education and training (both formal and non formal policies and programs

4) Provided academic, professional, supervisory and administrative guidance to teaching staff in church education and training institutions in the proper discharge of their functions and responsibilities

5) Ensure regular inspection if church education and vocational training institutions so that a high standard of education is achieved and maintained and that life and activities if the institutions are compatible with the teaching and expectations of the church

6) Assist the church education institutions where required in the efficient and effective running of church education institutions such as with materials and staff forecasting.
