Job Desctiption:

•The Driver will be tasked with facilitating and coordinating smooth transportation/movement of all staff and goods in operation facilities and locations of IsraAID Vanuatu. This includes ensuring proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle, adhering to all IsraAID policies and procedures and Vanuatu traffic laws. The driver must be able to solve challenges as they arise. S/he will be required to be an active team player who will improve current systems from knowledge and experience gained through at least 3 – 5 years experience in this area. Ensuring the safe driving of the IsraAID vehicle and others if authorised for business purposes by the Country Director.
• Ensuring safe transportation of IsraAID staff, guests and assets in accordance with the organisation's driver and asset / vehicle safety policy and procedures.
• Responsible for cleaning, correct maintenance of vehicle/s in accordance with the driver’s handbook and safe driving standards.
• Ensure vehicle is fueled and in good working condition in time for trips and proper management of fuel supply for the vehicle is upheld.
• Ensure adequate and current information of the destination and route is gathered before departure and that any risks or concerns are raised.
• Ensure that the vehicle is parked in a safe, appropriate and secure area.
• Ensure that all valuables are removed from the vehicle as required.
• Maintain a vehicle logbook for all work-related travel.
• Enable and engage any GPS technology if applicable.
• Provide assistance in loading and unloading of vehicle as needed.
• Professional and polite interaction with all stakeholders, staff and guests who are transported or who you encounter as a representative of IsraAID.
• Comply with the organisation’s Safe Driving and Vehicle Maintenance Policy.
• Ensure that vehicle is used for the intended/assigned purpose in accordance with the prior authorisation given by the CD
• Ensure that the vehicle safety belt is functional and used by self and the passengers onboard at all times.
• Follow all driving safety regulations while driving and observe all traffic rules.
• Report in writing on any maintenance need (minor/major) to the supervisor timely and accurately.
• Report any accident immediately to the supervisor as appropriate.
• Ensure that the car is equipped with safety equipment including fire extinguisher, First Aid kit at all times.

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Demonstrated experience in driving in a professional capacity.
• Strong knowledge of road safety, traffic regulations and defensive driving practices.

The Finance Manager runs the day-to-day finances of luxury resort. The role keeps the books accurate and on time, protects the resort's assets through sound controls, and gives the Managing Director clear monthly reporting against budget.
It is a hands-on, on-site role in a small team: the Finance Manager both does the work and supervises the Receivables and Payables staff.

Key responsibilities
Reporting and budgeting
• Prepare monthly management reports of actual vs. budget for the Managing Director.
• Communicate regularly with the Managing Director on financial position and issues.
• Assist the Managing Director to develop and monitor the annual operating and capital budgets.
• Analyse financial performance, identify cost savings, and advise management on financial
strategy.

Accounting and month-end
• Oversee day-to-day accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Reconcile control accounts between Room Master and the general ledger at month end.
• Prepare monthly standard journals.
• Review bank transactions to confirm all entries are recorded by Receivables and Payables.
• Review VAT return items, ensuring the correct VAT code is applied to all purchases.
• Prepare and maintain the fixed asset register.
• Liaise with the Financial Controller on year-end accounts and audit working papers.

Payroll and people
• Prepare fortnightly wages and monthly VNPF returns.
• Maintain annual leave records and entitlement balances.
• Supervise, train and evaluate the Receivables and Payables staff.

Cash, procurement and cost control
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight and banking
relationships.
• Oversee procurement controls, monthly inventory valuation and cost control procedures.
• Liaise with the General Manager and F&B Manager on food and beverage purchasing.
• Liaise with the Maintenance Supervisor on the cost of repairs.
• Monitor beverage, spa, extra guest services, and tours and activities sales against occupancy.

Controls, compliance and administration
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the resort's assets.
• Implement and maintain VSMS compliance.
• Assist the Managing Director with annual licences and insurance information.
• Proactively support system and software changes as required.
• Perform other reasonable duties consistent with the position.

Qualifications, experience and skills
Essential
• Degree in accounting, finance or commerce.
• At least 3–5 years in a finance role, including month-end close, reconciliations and payroll.
• Experience supervising accounts staff.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software and Excel.
• Sound understanding of VAT, internal controls and audit preparation.
• High integrity, discretion and attention to detail.
• Clear written and spoken English.

-CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
