Job Desctiption:
The Melanesian Corridor project in Solomon Islands and Vanuatu is a 3.5-year initiative with a budget of CAD 4.5 million to strengthen resilience in Marine Protected Areas in the Melanesian Corridor between Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands through Indigenous-led, gender-responsive, ecosystem-based DRRM and climate-resilient livelihoods. The project will improve DRRM practices at local, national, and regional levels while supporting communities to adopt regenerative livelihoods that reduce ecosystem pressures and secure food, water, and energy for broader resilience.
The Senior Finance & Grants Officer will be responsible for ensuring effective and transparent financial, accounting, grant and procurement procedures and reporting. The SFGO will work closely with the TL and HQ Project Finance Officer (PFO) to ensure that MELCOR is implemented with sound financial, accounting and administrative principles in line with Global Affairs Canada procedures. Key responsibilities include the development and maintenance of financial, procurement and grant guidelines, processes and systems; support for annual planning, budgeting processes and report preparation and the day-to-day financial management of the project, including processing and accounting for financial transactions. The position will have a particular focus on tracking the disbursement of the project's sub-grants to the target provinces as well and monitor and report on their use.
Selection Criteria:
University degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field. An accounting certification is a strong advantage.
Minimum 7 years of experience as a finance & grants officer for international donor funded programs.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in grant and fund management for donor-funded programs.
Experience working with ministries in Vanuatu or the Solomon Islands an advantage.
Strong experience designing program/financial management systems and administrative procedures.
Strong accounting and financial management skills with a track record managing grants to third party organizations.
Proven procurement skills including tendering, supplier selection and contracting.

Iririki Island Resort & Spa is seeking a suitable candidate to appoint for the role of Kids Club Attendant to join our Guest Experience Team.
• Responsible for creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children
• Supervise and interact with children, organize activities, maintain the club's cleanliness, and communicate with parents/guardians
• Providing attentive and nurturing care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being, and promoting a positive emotional environment
• Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring a variety of engaging experiences for the children
• Maintaining open communication with parents, providing updates on their children's activities, and addressing any concerns
• Maintaining a secure and hazard-free environment, adhering to safety protocols, and addressing any incidents or emergencies promptly
• Ensuring the club area is clean and organized, maintaining toys and equipment in good condition, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
• Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning up after activities and organizing toys
• Adhering to the resort's established procedures for the Kids' Club, including safety guidelines and operational protocols
• Reporting any incidents, accidents, or emergencies to the appropriate personnel.

• Ability to plan and organize activities, manage time effectively, and ensure smooth operations
