Job Description:

Save the children is the world’s largest independent child rights development organisation, making a difference to children’s lives in more than 100 countries. From emergency relief to long-term development, Save the Children works to realize every Childs right to health, education and protection. The purpose of this role is to support the establishment

of up to 8 aid-posts, 4 kindergartens and 2 youth drop in centres (for reproductive health) per year. These buildings will be located at a wide variety of locations across Vanuatu. The aid posts and kindergartens will be new buildings and the youth drop in centres will be part of, or attached to existing buildings. SCA will provide all tools, materials,

training, community mobilization and technical support required to complete the project. This position is open to local application. A full position description can be obtained from the Save the Childrens Office located at Titanium Plaza, Korman Area or send an email to hr@sca.org.vu

Interested applicant must possess the following:

Criteria:

- Construction experience; Community mobilization skills; Coordination ability - working with diverse groups of stakeholders including suppliers, government, community members and contractors;

Programming capacity, developing and following work plans; Ability to manage finances with highest integrity

- Ability to keep neat and accurate financial records; Ability to cope with pressures and demands from competing interest groups and individuals; Ability to work without close supervision

- Computer proficency (microsft excel and word and email); Able to work in english, high standards of both reading and writing; Fluent spoken and written in bislama; Experience working with

NGO/donors; Experience mobilizing and managing community groups.

Salary:

Remuneration will be negotiated based on skills and experienced in line with local wages.
