Job Description:
Under the Supervision of Chief Field Office and WASH Officer, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
- Provide support to database management at the Department of Geology, Mines, and Water Resources, including assistance to data cleaning, analysis and reporting;
- Support emergency WASH Cluster information management;
- In consultation with the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education and Training, synthesize national data related to WASH in schools and develop a joint proposal for a WASH in schools programme;
- As requested, provide technical inputs to the programme;
- Assisting in the preparation of annual work plans and supply plans;
- Supervising and monitoring WASH progammes, including assisting in evaluation of works when required.
The successful candidate will be assessed in accordance with the following requirements listed:
Criteria:
- National UN Volunteers have to be at least 22 years of age and be a nationality of Vanuatu;
- University Degree in one of the disciplines relevant to the following areas: Public Health; Civil Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Geology; Hydrology; Sanitation Engineering, or a field relevant to international WASH related development assistance.
- Experience in water and sanitation and hygiene field and with focus in schools desired;
- Knowledge of Ms WORD, EXCEL, GIS.
Salary:
63,750 VUV of allowance per month
Language:
English - Good written and oral skills in English.
