The Vanuatu Public Service Commission wishes to recruit an experience and qualified person to fill the position of Director National Disaster Management Office (NDMO), Ministry of Climate Change.
Criteria:
Applicants will be assessed against the following selection criteria:
- Qualification - Degree
- Special Business Education - Disaster Management or Disaster Risk Reduction or Climate change or related field
- Experience - 5 years in managing DRM, DRR or climate change adaptation and in managing a team in a professional work place
- Special Skills - Leadership skills, mentoring and supervising. Word suite, report writing, policy development, coordination skills, networking skills, database and valid drivers license.
- Thinking Styles - Strategic, Analytical
- Communication / Interpersonal skills - Highly articulate communicator, able to negotiate and resolve difficult situations
- Behavioral competencies - Copes well in stressful situation, hardworking, reliable, punctual, honest and team player.
