We are looking for a Resilience Project Officer to join our team based either in Port Vila or Tanna.
The Resilience Project Officer will work under the direction of a CARE senior staff member in either Port Vila or Tanna to ensure the effective implementation of resilience program activities, monitoring and reporting. The position requires the officer to be travelling to remote communities in Tafea for about 50%-60% of the time.

      Criteria:
      Required qualifications and skills:
      • At least 1 year experience working on emergency response, disaster risk reduction, climate change, food security, agriculture or gender projects, preferably in an NGO or government agency
      • Understanding of the community based development work and/or activity implementation
      • Proficient in English, written and verbal
      • Excellent communication, facilitation and report writing skills
      • Computer skills including Word and Excel
      • Must be able to travel between Port Vila and Tafea Province and spend extended periods in remote locations
      • Demonstrated understanding of gender equality and women’s empowerment and a commitment to CARE’s approach and values including diversity and cultural sensitivity.
