Job Description: The Judiciary of Vanuatu seeks to recruit a suitably qualified person for the above position. Core Functions of the Deputy Master will be to work with and under the responsibility of the Master of the Supreme Court and may include - To hear and determine all or any of the following matters: Application for directions relating to matters of procedure Taxation of bills of costs Application for probate Preliminary matters in relation to applications for adoption. To exercise such of powers, functions and jurisdiction of the Supreme Court as may be prescribed by the Rules of Court. Core Requirements for the post is that a successful applicant meets the following. Criteria:

Is admitted as a barrister or solicitor of the Supreme Court or a similar court in another jurisdiction or is sitting as a Senior Magistrate for a period of three years Has sufficient experience and ability to fulfill the duties of a deputy master Has relevant training and/or appropriate experience in Mediation and other ADRs Has relevant training and/or appropriate experience in case management.
