Job Description:
Oxfam is an International confederation of 17 organizations working together to find lasting solutions to poverty and injustice, as part of a global movement for change, in nearly 100 countries. Globally, Oxfam seeks structural change through integrated development, humanitarian and advocacy approaches. Oxfam has been working in Vanuatu since 1989. Our humanitarian program works with national and provincial Government, local partners and communities to support their recovery from TC Pam (in WASH, Food Security & Livelihoods, Coordination and Gender & Protection), preparedness for effective future emergency response and to build resilience.


Criteria:
  • Significant experience in leading impact humanitarian response and recovery programs and disaster-risk reduction initiatives
  • University degree, preferably in any development field or disaster management (or other formal education equivalent)
  • Experience working in alliance with governments, civil society organisations, national and international NGOs, other development agencies and the private sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team and manage complex and sensitive organisational relationships
  • Demonstrable understanding of and commitment to promoting gender equity and the interests of marginalized people.
  • Understanding of country humanitarian architecture, policies etc
  • Experience in managing donor contracts (desirable)
  • Ability to manage complex workloads and deliver work to tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.

Salary:

The remuneration and benefits package for this position ranges from 1,853,976 vatu to 2,410,169 vatu per anum and other admissible benefits as per organizational policy.
