The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the resort’s maintenance operations, facilities, equipment and logistics to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard and the resort operates efficiently and safely.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all maintenance and engineering activities across the resort.
- Manage preventative and reactive maintenance programs for buildings, facilities, plant, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate the maintenance team.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
- Coordinate procurement, transportation, storage and delivery of maintenance materials and equipment.
- Monitor maintenance supplies, spare parts, tools and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and relevant regulations.
- Assist with maintenance budgets, quotations, cost control and record keeping.
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and operational requirements.

- Proven experience in a maintenance, engineering, facilities, or logistics management role, preferably within a hotel or resort environment.

Requirements:
Minimum of four years of hotel Front Desk Management experience, experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.
Knowledge of Room Master hotel system an advantage.

The Retail Supervisor manage the daily operations of the Distribution Centre, ensuring that retail goods move safely, accurately and quickly from receiving storage facilities to retail shelves or customer delivery.

 

Selection Criteria:

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise retail team's daily operations, providing support and training to ensure effective staff performance.
- Maintain active presence on the shop floor to guide sales staff and assist with complex customer inquiries.
- Manage escalated customer complaints/staff disputes that frontline staff cannot resolve.
- Monitor point of sale registers, balance cash drawers and check daily financial transactions.
- Schedule cashier shifts to match peak customer traffics and minimize checkout wait times.
- Motivate team to meet and exceed daily sale targets.
- Train cashiers on friendly customer engagement and fast scanning.
- Train retail team on specialized hardware knowledge such as tools, building materials, electrical and to ensure accurate customer advice.
- Assign daily duties such as restock of shelves, build endcap displays, daily shifts and maintain aisle cleanliness.
- Set team sale targets, monitor daily sales and provide training to boost productivity.
- Enforce store safety rules, especially safe lifting and stocking of heavy merchandise.

Job Desctiption:

Works closely with Project Manager and Project Accountant to ensure budget requirements are met, coding requirements are met, staff financial expense reports are correct, and financial processes are upheld with Rivers staff. The Rivers MEAL Manager reports operationally to the Programme Director Rivers but provides technical guidance, standards and quality assurance to the Rivers Project Manager and project team. The role is responsible for monitoring implementation, verifying evidence, maintaining project data, supporting reports, coordinating community feedback and accountability mechanisms, and producing communications and impact stories with informed consent. The role should be integrated throughout planning, implementation, reflection and adaptation, rather than being used only to collect information at reporting deadlines.
Based in Santo and reporting to the Programme Director, the role supports Rivers and other ADRA Vanuatu programmes through consistent MEAL systems, LogAlto management, data-quality assurance, learning, reporting standards, ethical communications and organisational accountability. Positioning the role outside the Santo project-management line provides an independent view of programme performance while maintaining a supportive working relationship with the Rivers team.

 

Selection Criteria:

Qualifications and experience
Essential
• A relevant tertiary qualification or trainings in Monitoring and Evaluation, international/community development, programme management, public health, WASH, agriculture, climate resilience, social sciences or another relevant discipline; or a strong equivalent combination of education and senior practical experience.
• At least five years’ progressively responsible experience in development or humanitarian programmes, including substantial responsibility for multi-component project delivery and staff supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to manage work plans, partnerships, risk, budgets, procurement dependencies, donor reporting and results-based performance.
• Proven experience building accountable teams, setting clear expectations and addressing delay, poor quality or under-performance fairly and promptly.
• Demonstrated experience developing partnerships and contributing to successful concept notes, proposals or locally financed initiatives.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, PSEAH, child protection, gender equality, disability and social inclusion, do-no-harm, and workplace health and safety.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Bislama, with the ability to communicate credibly with communities, government, partners, staff and donors.
• Strong judgement, organisation, facilitation, analysis, negotiation and report-writing skills; competent use of standard digital office, planning and data systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to remote communities and Port Vila and to work flexibly when programme or emergency conditions require.
