We are a small hotel with a bar and growing restaurant business, focused on serving fresh, quality food for our guests in a welcoming and relaxed environment. We are also in the process of developing our events room, catering for different functions.

Experienced in working in a professional kitchen.

Preparing our existing menu to a high standard.
Following established recipes, preparation methods and portion sizes accurately.
Maintaining consistent taste, quality and presentation.
Organising daily preparation and kitchen workflow.
Ensuring food quality and freshness.
Monitoring stock, placing orders and reducing food waste.
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
Managing kitchen staff and delegating tasks effectively.
Preparing daily prep lists and ensuring the kitchen is ready for service.
Controlling food costs and portion sizes.
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and well maintained.
Working calmly and efficiently during busy service periods.
Taking pride and ownership in the overall operation of the kitchen.
Passionate about preparing quality food.
Selection Criteria:
We are looking for someone who is:
Basic knowledge of cooking methods, food preparation, kitchen equipment, and procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
High standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.Previous experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
Reliable, punctual and flexible to shifts, weekends and public holidays if required.
