Grand Hotel and Casino, Port Vila’s Boutique Hotel, is looking for a passionate Demi Chef to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves food, takes pride in what they put on the plate and wants to keep learning.
Selection Criteria:
What we’re looking for:
- A Certificate in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent — or relevant professional kitchen experience.
- Ideally 2+ years’ experience in a professional restaurant, hotel or high-volume kitchen.
- Good knowledge of food preparation, mise en place, knife skills and basic cooking techniques.
- A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
Someone who is reliable, organised and calm under pressure.
- A genuine team player who is keen to learn, contribute ideas and develop their skills. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.
